Lithophane Camellia & Rose Lamp _Designed by 3DWP ( http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1981306/#files) _Comments of Designer : _I remixed two nice lithophanes made by Bethany Weeks into one lithophane lamp. I used the Camellia and Rose bas reliefs/lithophanes as walls and added the rest of the design that was made in SketchUp. This can be printed without support._The lamp in the pictures was made from natural ABS but white PLA should look great, I do recommend to use a low energy bulb (like LED) so the material doesn't melt or warp. I added a small E14 fitting with a 25 Watt refrigerator lamp. _A lithophane (French: lithophanie) is an etched or molded artwork in very thin translucent porcelain that can only be seen clearly when back lit with a light source. It is a design or scene in intaglio that appears "en grisaille" (in gray) tones. A lithophane presents a three-dimensional image - completely different from two-dimensional engravings and daguerreotypes that are "flat". The images change characteristics depending on the light source behind them. Window lithophane panel scenes change throughout the day depending upon the amount of sunlight. The varying lightsource is what makes lithophanes more interesting to the viewer than two-dimensional pictures. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lithophane) - Additional Information
