Prevents Tooth Loss

There are different ways to deal with a tooth that is decaying or has cavity. Some people prefer tooth extraction that completely removes the problematic tooth from your mouth.

Although this treatment eliminates the infection from the depth but the extracted tooth area is empty. This leaves a gap and an unattractive look. Root canal preserves the natural arrangement of the teeth and treats the problem at the same time.

Prevents Infection of Neighbouring Teeth

The primary cause of tooth decaying is often pulp infection. The bacteria that is infecting slowly spreads to the neighbouring teeth and destroying them as well. Hence, when you get a root canal, the infected pulp is removed and the bacteria growth is also stopped.

Boosts Your Teeth’s Aesthetics

The process of root canal involves cleaning of the infected area, filling it with a cement, and fitting the crown in the tooth area. Crowns are not a part of remedy but it helps to restore the aesthetics of your teeth. Plus, apart from giving a good visual appeal to your teeth, the crowning in root canal also restore the functionality of the tooth.

Prevents Degeneration of Jawbone

With tooth extractions, the jaw area remains empty, hence it becomes sensitive to degeneration. Root canal does not expose the jawbone completely and therefore prevents it from complications of bacteria.

Improves Oral and Overall Teeth Health

As root canal delas with cleaning anad disinfecting the decaying area with bacterial infections, it also improves oral health. Moreover, when root canal is done, the decaying teeth is prevented from extraction too.

No Pain

Like many other dental procedures, root canals are completely painless. The endodontists use specialized tools to disinfect, remove the infected pulp, clean, and fill the cavity through a pain-free procedure. Hence, many people also prefer root canals over tooth extractions in order to avoid even minimum pain.

Conclusion

Problems with teeth are extremely common in all ages. Getting the necessary treatment immediately is important in order to prevent further damage. If you leave a decaying teeth unnoticed and do not take care of it, it will lead to bigger problems.

Hence, make sure you get instant treatments and if there is an infection, get a root canal to eliminate the infection completely. However, your first priority should be to take care of your oral hygiene as much as you can to avoid such conditions.
